Trouble Shooting Guide: Low Holding Vacuum can be caused by
several things:
- Porous Woods or the Vacuum System
Porous Wood
- Some woods are very porous even though they
do not appear to be and will not hold an adequate vacuum.
- Seal wood with sealer or use a plastic wrap
to eliminate or reduce leakage.
Vacuum source
- Disconnect vacuum hose leading to V810 vacuum generator
(or own vacuum pump)
- Place finger over vacuum fitting and check Holding
Vacuum gauge
- If the Holding Vacuum is above 20” HG the V810 is
operating normally
- If not click V810 trouble shooting
Vacuum Adapter
- Attach vacuum hose to barb and turn on vacuum source.
- Place finger over end of threaded rod – check holding
vacuum above 20” Hg.
- If not click V802 for trouble shooting
Vacuum Head
- Hand screw on V801 vacuum head
- Place a non porous surface on the head - check holding
vacuum above 20” Hg.
- If not click V01 for trouble shooting
