Trouble Shooting Guide: Low Holding Vacuum can be caused by several things:

  • Porous Woods or the Vacuum System

Porous Wood

  1. Some woods are very porous even though they do not appear to be and will not hold an adequate vacuum.
  2. Seal wood with sealer or use a plastic wrap to eliminate or reduce leakage.

Vacuum source

  1. Disconnect vacuum hose leading to V810 vacuum generator (or own vacuum pump)
  2. Place finger over vacuum fitting and check Holding Vacuum gauge
  3. If the Holding Vacuum is above 20” HG the V810 is operating normally
  4. If not click V810 trouble shooting

Vacuum Adapter

  1. Attach vacuum hose to barb and turn on vacuum source.
  2. Place finger over end of threaded rod – check holding vacuum above 20” Hg.
  3. If not click V802 for trouble shooting

Vacuum Head

  1. Hand screw on V801 vacuum head
  2. Place a non porous surface on the head - check holding vacuum above 20” Hg.
  3. If not click V01 for trouble shooting
